This is our first christmas without our Mum/Nan. She loved Christmas time, especially making sure everyone was fed and watered and we all loved our games in the evening. 'Grandad' Brian Franks

Every year as we ate Christmas dinner (often 20+ of us around various height tables) Grandad would say what a good dinner we were having and that he thought it was better than the one the Queen would be having! Being around the table with all his family was the most important thing for Grandad at Christmas. We miss you and raise a glass to you every year xxx

I have such happy memories of Christmas with my mum and dad - both from my childhood and then with our own children when they arrived. I so wish they had been around to meet our grandchildren, but our family traditions live on in their memory.

This will be our second Christmas without Mum and its still very difficult. Mum loved sparkle and getting dressed up for Christmas. Our last Christmas with Mum she was going through chemo. She lost her hair straight away but embraced it fully and had a hat to match every outfit and occasion. I'm so pleased you never lost your sparkle. Love and miss you so much xxx

Our first Christmas without you mum. You’ve only been gone 7 weeks, everything is still so raw. We simply just miss you. You lived Christmas so much, the build up, our family traditions and even you working at Watsons up until Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we will miss our early phone call to ask “has he been?” So much of our Christmas this year will be different because you’re not here, but we truly believe you’ll be with us. We will all be together & your photo is on the top of our tree!

Gary savoured every second of christmas, he loved the tree, the gifts, the food, the Carol's, but most of all he loved the family, his kids Lynne and Darren meant everything to him, as did Ryan his son in law, and Brooke his first granddaughter. Just wish he could be with us this Christmas to play with the 4 grandchildren we now have, he'd have been in his element. Forever loved xxx

My Nana loved Christmas, we laughed every year at how much extra food she would buy “just incase someone pops in” and the personalised gifts she used to buy everyone for stocking fillers. Mum was always so excited for Christmas, even when I got older and moved out she would ring Christmas morning and ask ‘Has he been?’… I’ll miss that this Christmas. Mum was cared for at St Barnabas for 11 days before she passed away, they couldn’t have done enough for her and me and my sister and brother, we well be forever grateful for their care, they truly are special.

My beloved best friend Jane died aged 67 in 2021. We spoke almost every day for 21 years . We have laughed and cried and helped each other through dark days . We had an unbreakable bond, she used to call me her "posh friend" as she felt that we were at opposite ends of the social ladder . I never saw that. I loved her for what she was . A down to earth loud Rotherham lass. My life is definitely a sadder place without her . My heart holds onto her and there she will stay throughout my life xxx

My husband Daniel

Daniel died aged 31 in 2008 . A day does not go by that I do not think of him . He was very kind, gentle and sweet . He did drive me nuts with his woodturning and the mess he made but I remember his bowls that he made . I think everyone in the family and village now has something to remember him by. My family and I remember him with such love and he is so very missed . Love you Dan xxx

Philly

Philly was my sister, we were very close with just three years between us and I miss her very much. When we were little girls, we would have lots of people round as our mum wanted to get everyone together. We did everything together, even with our pillowcases at the bottom of the bed waiting for Santa. Philly would wake up at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning and was the little girl that always looked at the presents already under the Christmas tree. We had lovely, special Christmases together.

December will never be the same without you 💔 My memories of us staying awake to listen for the sleigh bells on Christmas Eve will forever make me smile. As do my memories of those legendary knitted jumpers from Nan. Merry Christmas Denise and happy heavenly birthday this week xx

Grandma’s Christmas legendary bingo prizes, Grandad proclaiming ‘that’s another Christmas over with’ at dinner, the Christmas cards that rarely were Christmas themed and the ever imaginative wrapping. I hope you’re bebopping in the stars together this Christmas ✨

We miss you so much, especially this time of the year - from the amazing sweet filled stockings you created for us grandchildren to you ability to annually knock over the Christmas tree after one too many Sherry's! You always made us laugh and brought so much fun and love to our lives.

So many special memories of my beautiful, amazing mum. My best friend, my world, my inspiration. A very special memory as we approach the Christmas season, is the time we always spent together with ‘your’ beloved boys decorating our Christmas tree; I miss this so much.
